Entry requirement for progression onto a Level 2 course is a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade G or better. In addition, students must achieve the specific entry requirements for each individual course which may apply to this course.

Typical Syllabus Outline
This programme of learning is designed specially for students who wish to develop the skills and attributes to work in the sport and leisure industry. Alongside the core provision of Functional Skills and Work Skills students will follow a suite of qualifications which will develop their knowledge and understanding of sports coaching/ leadership, gym instructing and awareness of health and nutrition issues. This programme does have theoretical elements but equally students will be expected to develop their confidence to deliver the practical aspects of the course.
In addition to the above students will commit to a work placement with local employers

Students successfully progressing from this programme will either be able to access further training with employment or progress onto a higher level qualification in sport and leisure
