Sixth form students from De Warenne Academy and Rossington All Saints Academy went on a joint visit to the University of Sheffield Department of Biomedical Science electron microscope facility. The students, who are studying Level 3 Applied Science BTEC, enjoyed a guided tour of the laboratories and found out how the microscopes can be used to magnify specimens over 150,000 times.
Hardworking sixth-form students from De Warenne Academy were awarded graduation certificates by the Mayor of Leeds at a ceremony at Leeds Metropolitan University. The certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the 'Progression Module' which guides and prepares students for university applications.

A group of De Warenne students went to Sheffield Arena to sing in the Young Voices Choir on 23rd January. The singers had rehearsed a variety of songs and the actions to go with them.
